| Banca dei Territori  | The domestic business is concentrated in the "Banca dei Territori", which comprises: about 5,660 branches dedicated to approximately 11.2 million retail customers; approximately 400 specialised centres for about 131,000 SME customers; about 155 specialised centres and a dedicated bank with approximately 70 branches servicing approximately 83,000 private customers; about 60 branches specialised in industrial credit and consumer credit; about 50 branches of Banca Prossima, the bank of the Group servicing approximately 50,000 non-profit entities, the first in Europe fully dedicated to the social and non-profit sector; platform for direct channels; bancassurance, with: - EurizonVita, one of the leading life insurance companies in Italy; - EurizonTutela, controlled by EurizonVita, active in the property-casualty business with products mainly focused on personal protection and the protection of personal assets; - Intesa Vita, a joint venture with the Generali Group operating in the life insurance business (company not subject to full consolidation, but carried at equity); - Sud Polo Vita, a company operating in the life insurance business resulting from the joint expertise of EurizonVita and Intesa Vita.
The model provides for the assignment of a single brand to each specific geographical area, in order to best meet the needs for specialisation of service, while recognising and protecting local characteristics. The resulting organisational structure features an extremely light chain of command, able to promote immediate interaction between the General Management and the area managers ("Banchieri del Territorio").

Corporate and Investment Banking  | In the corporate and investment banking activity, Intesa Sanpaolo is a major player with 53 centres dedicated to about 19,000 corporate clients. With Banca IMI, the Group is the benchmark Italian operator in investment banking, in particular in structured finance and project & acquisition finance, and in capital markets, reaching a critical mass in market making activities. On the international level, Intesa Sanpaolo is present in 34 countries through a specialist network to facilitate the cross-border activities of its customers made up of branches, representative offices and subsidiaries focused on corporate banking. Intesa Sanpaolo manages relationships with a network of approximately 4,000 correspondent banks.
