  • In Naples, in the heart of the city, the Galleria di Palazzo Zevallos Stigliano
    opened to the public
    From 9 June 2007

The gallery of Palazzo Zevallos Stigliano opened to the public on 9 June, with the chance to admire Caravaggio's final masterpiece: "The Martyrdom of Saint Ursula", the last work painted by Michelangelo Merisi in 1610, a few weeks before his dramatic, solitary death.
As with other initiatives aimed at enabling the public to enjoy its art collections - including, among others, the galleries of Palazzo Leoni Montanari in Vicenza - Intesa Sanpaolo has dedicated part of the historic building to be used as a gallery that will exist alongside the bank's normal institutional functions.

  • Depicting Time
28 April to 19 August 2007, Gallerie di Palazzo Leoni Montanari, contrà Santa Corona 25, Vicenza

The galleries of Palazzo Leoni Montanari, Intesa Sanpaolo's in-house museum in Vicenza, hosted the mini-exhibition "Depicting Time", which began 28 April. Icons in the Russian tradition representing the months of the year were featured in this display, which was the fourth in the "East-West" series of mini exhibitions offered periodically and free of charge on the ground floor of the galleries.
The works featured by this mini exhibition, which ended on 19 August 2007, were nine so-called "menological" Russian icons.
