The Rimini Meeting, with its 700,000 visitors each year, represents a coordinated effort by more than 2,000 volunteers and is one of the most highly attended events in Italy. It features an intensive programme of meetings, performances, and exhibitions, with the participation of representatives from the areas of culture, entertainment, politics, and research.
"Truth is the destiny for which we were made" was the title of the 2007 event.
Intesa Sanpaolo again supported the 2007 event as general sponsor, continuing a longstanding association and participating actively in this exchange of ethical and social values. The bank had its exhibition space in Pavilion C1 (in the Compagnia delle Opere area).
On Monday, 20 August, Corrado Passera, CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo addressed the meeting on "The role of competition in the national economy", organized in collaboration with Unioncamere (11:15 a.m., Neri room).
Intesa Sanpaolo was also present with the childcare programme PAN (Progetto Asili Nido), at the "Baby Club" organized by Consorzio Service Web. PAN is the first nationwide network of childcare services created by a non-profit consortium - Intesa Sanpaolo, Consorzio Cgm, Federazione dell'Impresa Sociale/Compagnia delle Opere, and Drom/Legacoop. Its aim is to support social enterprises offering childcare services.
