Great emphasis is paid to energy consumption and polluting emissions: thanks to attentive energy management and a prevalent use of hydro-electric power (around 85% of our consumption), we succeed in reducing the amount of emissions generated (approx. 180.000 ton. in 2007 for Intesa Sanpaolo and Commercial Banks).
Our Group is a member of the ABI Energia consortium, which is a reference point for the banking system in terms of initiatives aimed at optimising energy efficiency. The Consortium's goals are to reduce procurement costs, operational risks in energy use, consumption and consequent environmental impact.
